The very last weight loss blog I'll ever own.

We may not be all we should be, and we may not be all we will be, but we are....we are.... we are....shrinking.

let the shrinkage begin

Tonight I had a date with this woman. Jillian...my hero. She will whip my floppy butt into shape in 30 days. As I disclaimer let me state that my body may not EXACTLY resemble Jillian's in 30 days, but I'm pretty sure she worked at it a bit longer than that. I will boldly claim that a month from now, I will be a little less floppy and a little more shredded. Shred. That's a good word. Unless it's shredded cheese in a big juicy Chipotle burrito. Shredded carrots.....much less tasty. But let's focus on the positive and the things we CAN have, rather than the things we CAN'T have like ENERGY! UPPER ARM STRENGTH! and a CAN DO IT ATTITUDE! No more trying to bend over our stomachs...let's shred 'em! With Jillian leading the way.

Instant Soreness due to lack of any muscle

It was a sad realization when a thirty something overweight mother of 4 did her first exercise routine in over 3 months.  "I feel sore already.  I'm not sure how that is possible..could be to my total lack of any muscle tone in my hamstrings."  Still, the future fitness model was proud that she was able to overcome the odds which were stacked against her to fit in her first exercise day.  "It was a hard day.  The kids had lots of school work, I had stayed up late doing paperwork the night before.  I took an allergy pill in the afternoon not knowing it would knock me out and force me to my bed so that I wouldn't colapse on my kitchen floor".  After being forced into a drug induced nap during her baby's naptime, it seemed as if she would have to wait until 9:20pm to exercise.  The flabby homeschool mother found the time to get in her exercise after dropping off kids at church.  With a 18 month old joining her in lunges, squats and leg kicks, she got the job done.  "Now on to tomorrow.  I've succeeded my first day, and nothing can stop me now."  What once would have been an easy workout in her youth proved to be just the ticket needed to get a good sweat going.  Day one for this woman is complete.

Sarah Palin 2 is in this with you

After eating a sufficient amount of Caribou Coffee Caramel Hi-Rise ice cream tonight, which is the most amazing food on the planet, I am happy to be part of this our FINAL weight loss blog.

My goal for tomorrow is to follow the Weight Watchers plan, focusing on fruits, lean protien, and other healthful foods. I vow to not use my points on oreos and baked chips, which may still yield weight loss but leave me feeling cruddy.

I will do 30 minutes of exercise. I'm not sure if it will be running, or maybe a Jillian workout, but exercise WILL happen.

I will drink at least 3 large glasses of water (like 20 oz.) Hopefully more, but at least 3.

Two mid-aged hotties will be unleashed this Christmas, and they may possibly be sporting a stylish outfit of some sort. Off we go.
